I know how to use it, but what's the "idea" behind it?

Awato aims to increase academic engagement and graduation rates by driving learners towards a career or education outcome. Our goals are accomplished by guiding learners through the three phases of career discovery: Awareness, Exploration, and Preparation.

For Learners

By navigating through these phases learners gain a better understanding of where they want to go, and how to get there. Ultimately, this improves learner confidence leading to better graduation rates and career and education outcomes.

Creating Self-Awareness

We facilitate self discovery for learners through our adaptive, personalized assessments. Each will bring insights into a learner's specific career interests, preferred ways of thinking, job preferences, and more. With this deeper understanding of themselves, learners can better interpret how a career path may match to their preference.

Exploring Career and Education Options

With a better understanding of themselves, learners begin to explore the career and education options that are aligned with their assessment results. They can learn about what each entails, favorite some for later viewing, and even set one as a goal to achieve.

Preparing for Goals

Once a learner has explored their options and narrowed their focus, it's time to dive deeper. From this point, learners can view the path to becoming credentialed for their goal, find education providers, and apply to related work opportunities.

For Education Organizations

As learners navigate through these career phases, education organization will be able to gain valuable insights into their students preferences, career and education goals, and desired path forward. This type of information can be used to better guide the students, or to understand which education programs need more resources to meet student demand.
