Counselor Getting Started Checklist

What’s Awato and why is it important to me?

Awato is a career and interest exploration tool that helps students find the best path to a career! As a counselor, you will be able to invite your students to the system and view their assessment and career results. Follow along with our video tutorial below!

Step #1: Get into Awato

  • Accept your email invitation to join Awato
  • Complete the registration form

  • Open the rocket icon on the top right to see a list of recommended activities to do in Awato

Step #2: Invite Students to Join Awato

  • Click on the User Management icon on the Admin Panel on the left
  • Click on Invite Users on the top right
  • Select Anyone via email
  • Enter in students’ email addresses separated by a comma
  • Optionally, assign these invited students to a Counselor or Group
  • Hit Send Invites

To help you get started we’ve included a template invite message that you can edit to your liking and send to your students. We recommend attaching the Student Getting Started Checklist to your message as well:

Hello!

Our school has a new career exploration app available called Awato!

On Awato you can take quizzes to see which careers and education you might be interested in. You can use it to help guide you to a career path that you will love!

You will receive an invitation from talktous@awato.co sent by your counselor. If you click the link inside, you will be able to sign up and start using Awato.

Step #3: View Student Reports

  • Click on User Reports on the Admin Panel on the left
  • Toggle filters on/off to see more/fewer users
  • Toggle columns on/off to see more/less information about users
  • Double-click on a user to see more information
