What is WBL?

Overview

Work-Based Learning or WBL provides students with hands-on opportunities for students to gain employability skills in a practical setting.

There are a variety of activities that can provide this experience, such as internships, job shadowing, or paid work experience.

Work-Based Learning at Awato

Who can post opportunities?

Awato has over 100 employer partners who can post opportunities for students.

Where can students find the WBL opportunity board?

This can be found under the Find Opportunities tab, under Experience.

How can students apply?

Each school can set a WBL coordinator who can field requests for information or application requests from students at their school.

The purpose of the WBL coordinator is to protect the privacy of minor students and provide an opportunity for students to get feedback on their resume and application materials before they apply.
