Single-Sign-On with Xello

Unifying the Awato and Xello Platforms

The Awato and Xello integration has been designed to offer educators and students a full end-to-end experience that links Xello’s 4-year course planning, college readiness, application tracking, and curriculum with Awato’s assessments, local content mapping, and NH DOE supported work-based learning features. This unified suite provides features and benefits that support every student’s academic and career goals all while helping your school meet the needs of New Hampshire's Drive to 65 Act.

Student Experience

When your school chooses to upgrade to the Xello integration, students will be able to access Awato using their Xello credentials through single-sign-on, or SSO. We chose to implement SSO to make it easier for students to access Awato and reduce the number of passwords for students to remember.

When a New Hampshire high school student signs in to Xello, every student will see a custom career exploration lesson, powered by Awato, in their Dashboard.

Within the lesson, students will be able to click on a link that then takes them to the Awato environment, where they can complete a personalized interests assessment, explore their career matches, and set a career goal.

Educator Experience

Data collected in Awato will appear in Xello’s Educator Portal, under Reports within the Lesson Progress reports section. Because Xello ensures students complete work in Awato as part of a dedicated embedded lesson, educators can check student progress on that specific Lesson just like any other Lesson assigned to their students.
