In this article you'll find:

An overview of how to refine your search for opportunities on Awato's Work-Based Learning (WBL) job board.

Section Summary

The Experience section under the "Find Opportunities" tab is where you can find all work-based learning opportunities posted by employers.

This article will explain:

  • Sorting opportunities
  • Searching for opportunities by job title
  • Filtering options for opportunities

Sorting WBL Opportunities

By default, users can see all available opportunities on the WBL board in alphabetical order.

You may also sort job titles in reverse alphabetical order by selecting the “Sort by Name Z-A” slider.

Searching for WBL Opportunities

The search bar on the right side of the job board allows you to search for jobs by job title.

Filtering Options for WBL Opportunities

To narrow down the search results, there are a variety of options under the “Filter” menu. You may need to scroll to see all of the available options.

Location Type

Choose between In-Person or Virtual opportunities. Leaving this option blank will show both location types unless a specific location filter is active.

Location

Search opportunities by city, state, or zip code. Leaving this option blank will show opportunities from all locations.

Experience Type

Students can filter opportunities by the desired type of experience, such as internship, apprenticeship, or paid work experience. Currently, only one experience type can be selected at a time.
Leaving this field blank or selecting “None” will show all opportunities that match all other active filters.

Industry

Students can filter opportunities by industry. Currently, only one industry can be selected at a time.
However, leaving this field blank will show opportunities in any industry.

Minimum Age

This filter shows students opportunities that they are eligible for based on their age.
For example, a 16-year-old student would see jobs that require students to be 16 or older as well as any opportunities with a lower minimum age.
